Manumission Negro Anna From James Jones

To all whom it may concern This is to certify that I James Jones of Duck Creek hundred in Kent County and State of Delaware do hereby Manumit, release and set free my negro woman Anna aged twenty nine or thirty years old and from henceforth the said Negro Anna is her own woman, and that she is free from me, my heirs Executors and administrators, and for a further confirmation thereof it is my request that this manumission should be recorded I the Recorders office. In Testimony of which I have here unto set my hand and seal this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven 1807 James Jones {seal}

Kent County State of Delaware } On the 15th of January 1807 came Doct. James Jones Before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for sd. County and acknowledged the within manumission to be his act and Deed and witness my hand & seal this date. Abraham Pierce
