Manumission Negro Alexander Jones from John Simmons

Know all Men by these presents that I John Seamans of Murtherkill hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and considerations do by these presents Manumit liberate and do free a certain Negro man named Alexandrew Jones, formerly the property of Joseph Lewis, aged twenty three years and upwards, and do hereby further agree that the said Alexandrew Jones shall be intitled to and enjoy all the right, privileges and immunities, which a free negro or mullatto may or can have or enjoy by the laws of this state,

In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sic 1806. John Seamans {seal}

Sealed and delivered in Presence of us John Lowber James Sorden 

State of Delaware Kent County Ss } I do certify that on the day and year aforesaid, appeared John Simmons, before me the subscriber and acknowledged the the above Manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal the 13th Novr. 1806. John Lowber
