Know all men by these presents, That I John A Dilworth of St. Georges Hundred NewCastle County and State of Delaware, Yeoman, for divers Good causes and Considerations thereunto me moving, have and by these presents do manumit, Enfranchise and discharge from a state of slavery and servitude my negro man called Plato Evans, formerly the slave of Mary Alricks Decd. Aged about Twenty Eight years. And I do for myself my Heirs, Executors, Administrators and assigns release unto him all my right, Title, and claim whatsoever as to his Person or to any Estate he hath or may acquire, hereby declaring him free from me or and Persons claiming by from or under me, In Testimony whereof  I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twentieth day of June A.D. 1803.
