Know all men by these presents that I Henry B Hill adr of S. Hill decd of Dagsboro Hun Sussex County & State of Delaware for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty five Dollars, paid me by Jacob Tingle, negro, do hereby manumit & set free from slavery A certain black Boy Named George About ten years old now my slave from henceforth to possess and enjoy all the rights liberties privileges and immunhities that a free person of color may or an enjoy in conformity with the Laws and Constitution of the State of Delaware, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my  hand & seal this 20th day of May A.D. 1837. Hill dec’d the above named Liberator and acknowledged the above set forth manumission to be his act and deed and also desired the manumission to be recorded as such, In testimony I hereunto set my hand and seal day & year above.
