Know All Men by these presents that I George Toppin Junr. Of Red Lion hundred and County of New Castle in the State of Delaware Farmer for divers causes and considerations and hereunto moving towards the following named Negro Man have Manumitted released and forever discharge from slavery the said Negro Man named William Aged about twenty three years at the period following that is to say immediately after the twenty fifth day of March Which will be in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty And I the said George Toppin do hereby covenant for myself my heirs executors Administrators and Assigns to and with the said Negro man William that he shall enjoy all and singular the rights liberties and priveleges of free Blacks within this State at the expiration of the period of servitude herein before mentioned. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty. George Toppin {seal}

New Castle County Sst Personally appeared before me as one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County George Toppin and acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission to be his act and Deed and requested that the same might be recorded as such. Given under my hand and Seal March 20th A.D. 1820.

I do hereby assign over All right title claim George Peirce {seal} and interest to the servitude of the within named manumitted negro Man William to John Moody for value received. as witness my hand and Seal this twentieth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty. George Toppin {seal}
