Know all men by these presents That I Sarah MCaullmont of New Castle Hundred in the County of NewCastle, State of Delaware have this day manumitted and set free my negro boy called Levi Finney a slave heretofore my property; and I do further quit all claim of and to the said Levi Finney, for myself, my heirs executors, admrs or any other person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty second day of January, in the year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine. Sarah MCalmont {seal}

New Castle County Ss: – On the twenty second day of January in the year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Before me Joseph Tatlow, Esquire, one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said county, personally came Sarah MCallmont above named, and acknowledged the foregoing Manumission to be her act and deed.
