Know all Men by these Presents that I Thomas Hanson of NewCastle on Delaware for and in Consideration of the Sum of or Quantity of four hundred Bushels of good clean Merchantable Wheat which I justly owe and am indebted unto Richard Thompson of the City of Philadelphia for Rent due to the said Richard Thompson for the Plantation I lately lived on Which Debt I hereby acknowledge to be justly due from me to him the said Richard Thompson and became due and payable the first Day of August last past I have bargained, Sold and delivered and by these Presents doth hereby bargain sell and deliver unto the said Richard Thompson the following Goods and Chattles vizt – one Negroe Woman named Phebe and her two Children both being Girls one nam’d Mime near three Years old the ^other nam’d Silvia about four months old and one Negroe Boy named Stephen about nine years old. Provided nevertheless that if the said Thomas Hanson or his Heirs Executors and Admrs will pay or cause to be paid unto the sd Richard Thompson his Heirs Executors or Admrs the aforesaid Sum or Quantity of four Hundred Bushels of good clean merchantable Wheat With Interest from the time it was due at or upon the first Day of November next ensuing the date hereof for Redemption of the aforesaid bargained sold and delivered Goods and Chattles then this Bill of Shall shall be void otherwise remain in full Force.
