Sussex County State of Delaware Know all men by these presents that I Mary McGrill for and in Consideration of the fidelity and attachment to Angelica a negro woman lately owned by Bernard McGee and by me lately purchased out of the Estate of said Bernard McGee dec’d do hereby wish, will and desire that the said negro Angelica be manumitted freed and set at Liberty on the eleventh day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty two being six years from the date when I purchased, and I wish the same may be acknowledged and recorded for the benefit of the said negroe, Signed Sealed & Delivered this Eighteenth day of May A.D. 1816.
