Manumission Negro Harriott from Robert Cook 1821

Know all men by these presents that I Robert Cook of Kent County & State of Delaware do manumit & forever Set free a Negro Girl named Harriott after She arrives at the Term of Twenty one years old she being at this date three years old & do hereby discharge her from any Claim or demand from my heirs Execrs or admirs as witness my hand & seal this twenty fifth day of Septr. Kent County Sst The State of Delaware. Be it Remembered that on the ninth day of November Eighteen hundred & twenty one before me Robert Patterson one of the Justices of the Peace in and for Said County personally Came Robert Cook who acknowledged before me and in my presence did acknowledge that he Signed the within Manumission of his negro Girl Harriott to be free at the age of twenty one years who is at this time three years old and that the Said Robert Cook desires that this manumission may be recorded as his act and Deed. Witness my hand the day and year above written. Robert Patterson
