State of Delaware Kent County Be it Remembered that I Mary Jarrell of Murderkill hundred Kent County in the State aforesaid for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereto Moving Have Manumitted Emancipated Liberated and set free a Certain Negro Girl the Slave of Me the Said Mary Jarrell by the Name of Ann Reserving to myself my heirs Executors administrators or assigns the Service and Labour of the Said Negro Ann for twelve years Nine months and Twelve days Next Ensuing from the day of the date hereof or untill She the said Negro Ann Shall arrive to the age of Twenty Eight years old She Being at this time fifteen years two Months and Eighteen days old But if she the said Ann should abscond from the Service of me the Said Mary Jarrell my heirs Executors administrators or assigns that then and in Such Case the Said Negro Ann So absconding Shall make good her lost time by so absconding by Servetude and Labour after the Expiration of the time Mentioned for her to Serve as aforesaid.
