Manumission Nancy Pettegrew to Negro Harriet

Know all men by these presents that I Nancy Pettegrew of the County of Kent & State of Delaware do hereby manumit enfranchise and absolutely set free my Negro girl Hariete to be free and at her full & perfect Liberty from the day of the date hereof, and I do hereby warrant and defend the liberty and freedom of the said Negro Girl Harriett from my self my heirs executors & Adms and all and every other person & persons lawfully claiming or to claim the said Negro Girl by from or me or them or any of them as witness my hand & seal this 30 December AD 1814. State of Delaware Kent County }  I do Certify that Nancy Pettegrew personally appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the said County and acknowledged the above manumission of Negro Harriete to be her act and Deed Agreeable to the true intent & purport thereof in due form of Law This 30 December 1814 In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this day afsd.
