Know all men by these Presents that I Curtis Jacobs have Bargained and Sold unto Leah Anderson one Negro Girl by the name of Leah aged Eight years of age, in the year Eighteen hundred and thirteen January the first & from that date I the afsd Jacobs doth warrant and defend the said Negro Girl by the name of Leah, unto the afsd Leah Anderson to be her Right and Property thirteen years from the above date, which said Negro is to serve, thirteen years, which said Negro Leah will be free and clear of Bondage January the first Eighteen hundred and twenty Six 1826. as witness my hand & Seal this first day of Janu’y 1813.
