Sale of Slave Judah by David Peterkin Jr to MCall Medford 1768

To all People to whom this Present Writing may Come I David Peterkin Junr of Mispillion Hundred in the County of Kent on Delaware farmer do Send Greeting Know ye that I the Said David Peterkin for and in Consideration of the Sum of Sixty Pounds Current money of the Government of the Counties of New Castle, Kent and Sussex on Delaware to me in hand Paid by McCall Medford of Kent County in Maryland yeoman, the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and myself therewith fully Satisfied Contented and Paid I have granted Bargained and Sold, and by these Presents I the said David Peterkin do Grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said MCall Medford one Negro Wench Called Judah now in Dover Together with all her Clothes under her in any wise appertaining and Belonging To have and to hold unto the Said Negro wench and all other the Premises hereby grated unto the Said MCall Medford his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns as his or their own Proper Goods and to his and their own Proper use and uses forever and I the Said David Peterkin do for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and grant to and with the Said MCall Medford his heirs Executors administrators and assigns by these Presents that I the Said David Peterkin at the Time of Sealing and Delivery of these am the True an Lawfull owner of and Proprietor of the said Negro wench and Cloathe hereby granted with the appurtenances, and that I have full Power and Authority to grant Bargain and Sell the Said Negro wench with the Premisses hereby mentioned to be granted with the appurtenances unto the Said MCall Medford his heirs Executors, Admrs and Assigns in manner aforesaid and also that is Shall and may be Lawfull to and for the Said MCall Medford his heirs and Assigns from time to time and at all times hereafter Quietly and Peaceably to have hold Possess and enjoy the Said Negro wench and all other the Premisses hereby Granted or mentioned or Intended to be granted with the appurtenances with out the Lett Trouble D??iel Molestation hindrance or disturbance whatsoever, of me the the Said David Peterkin my heirs Exers or Admrs or any other Person or Persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim and that freed and Discharged of and from all  manner of former and other Bargains Sales and encumbrances as Whatsoever made Done or Committed by me the Said David Peterkin my heirs Exes Admrs or Assigns.In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Twenty fourth day of May Amoque Domini Seventeen Hundred and Sixty Eight 1768.David Peterkin Junr. {seal}
