Manumission Waitman Boddy to Sundry Negroes 1835

State of Delaware Kent County Ss. To all persons to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moveing, I do hereby declared free manumit and enfranchise the three following negroes to wit: negro woman Charlotte Rounds to be free at the end of six years from this date, negro boy Daniel Rounds aged five years the 16th day of April next to serve untill he is twenty eight years of age negro girl Mariah Rounds aged fifteen months old the twenty eight of the the present month September to Serve untill she is twenty eight years of age hereby releasing the said negroes from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me, my heirs, executors and administrators from and after the above mentioned date. In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty five 1835. Waitman Body {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County Ss. Be it Remembered that on the twenty ninth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four, before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for Kent County aforesaid Waitman Boddy named to the above manumition personal appeared and acknowledged said manumition to be his voluntary act and deed and desired that it might be recorded.
