Know all men by these presents that I Charles Marim of Little Creek hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, from motive of humanity and benevolence have manumitted and do hereby manumit and set free my negro man Clement, formerly the property of John Covington, and aged about forty years: and I do hereby give, grant, and release unto the said Clement all my right, title and claim of, in and to his person, labour and service and of in and to the estate which he may hereafter obtain, In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred ad thirty five. State of Delaware Kent County Ss. Acknowledged by Charles Marim to be his voluntary act and deed this fifth of November 1835. before the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace, in and for said County. Thos. Stevenson Jus P.
