Admrs Elizabeth Baynards last Will & Testament Dated 21st Feby 1786 Recorded in Book M folio 127

In the Name of God Amen – I Elizabeth Baynard of of Kent County on Delaware Widow of Mr. Thomas Baynard of the Same place late Deceased, being of Sound disposing mind memry and Understanding and being desirous to Settle my Worldly affairs and thereby be the Better prepared to leave this world when it Shall please God to Call me home do therefore make and Publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form Following that is to say —

First and Principally I commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of Children hereafter named – &c.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Henry Baynard all that Part of a Tract or Parcel of Land Called Danbey that my Husband left to my Son Thomas Baynard Containing one hundred acres and also all that Tract or Parcel of Land Called Fiddemens Fancy Containing three Hundred acres an also all that Tract or parcel called Fiddemans hill Containing thirty acres of Land both of which last mentioned Tracts my Said Husband left to my son John Baynard. to him the Said Henry Baynard his Heirs and assigns for ever I also give unto my Son Henry Baynard Two Good Horses or mares Such as he Shall Chose out of his Fathers Stock they being the Horses or mares left me by my Said Husbands last will and Testament. by which I mean Strictly to obide and leave the above Lands to my Son Henry that he may have it in his power to Convey the Same agreeable to his Fathers Direction in his Said Will Afsd —

Item I give and bequeath to my Cousin Mary Fiddiman one Cow and Calf to be Delivered by my Son John Baynard within three month after my decease —

Item I give and bequeath Unto my Son John Baynard one Negro man called Jacob one Called {Old Abraham} one negro woman Called Sarah and one other negro Woman Called Cate, Two beds and Furniture Two Cows and Calves Twenty Barrels of Corn fifteen Fifteen bushels of wheat Ten Good Hogs Six Sheep and three Iron Pots and Racks — it being the whole of what I clame of my Said Husbands Estate together with what is before mentioned in this will —

In Testimoney whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this Twenty first day of January Seventeen Hundred and Eighty Six —

Signed Sealed Published and declared by Elizabeth Baynard herein named as and for her last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who at her request and in her Presence have Subscribed our names as Witnesses — Elizabeth Baynard {seal}

Delaware State Ss. Personally appeared before me Thomas Rodney Esq register for the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Kent Thomas White and William Burwick two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the Within Instrument of Writing and being Sworn upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God do say that they Saw Elizabeth Baynard Sign Seal and heard her publish pronounce and declare the Same as and for her Last will and Testament that at the time of her so doing and Saying the Same she was as to the best of their belief of Sound Disposing mind and memory that they at the same time and at her request and in her presence Signed & Saw each other Sign their names as witnesses to the same and the Like Instance and request and in his presence also they Saw Edward Burwick Sign his name as one Other witness to the Same In Testimony whereof I have Hereunto Set my Hand at Dover this 1st day of March 1787 Thomas Rodney Register
