I Emory Temple of Dover hundred Kent County & State of Delaware being the owner of a certain negro girl named Elizabeth Ross aged ten years the 16th day of March last past do hereby manumit the said Elizabeth to be free and at her perfect liberty when she shall arrive at the age of Twenty eight years – which will be on the 16th day of March A.D. 1866 As witness my hand and seal this 31st day of May A.D. 1848.
