Know all men by these presents that I Isaac Davis of Duck Creek hundred in the County of Kent & State of Delaware have manumitted, enfranchised and set free and by these presents do manumit, infranchise and set free and at his intire liberty, my negro slave Henry Biddle, which I purchased of Jacob Biddle Esq now supposed to be about the age of thirty five years Witness my hand & Seal this Seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty four.
