This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Witnesseth That Henry Fisher negro for and in consideration of a certain Manumission Bearing even date with Indenture from his purchaser and Master John Lewis has put and bound and by these presents do put and bind himself he being now the age of twenty one years as nearly as can be ascertained as a servant to the Said John Lewis his heirs executors administrators and assigns for and during and until the full end and term of Eight years from the day of the date hereof the Said Henry Fisher is to Serve the Said John Lewis his heirs executors administrators and assigns as a Servant for the term aforesaid and no longer. And the Said John Lewis for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns doth hereby contract covenant and agree to well Support and cloth the Said Henry Fisher during the term of his Said Service. In witness whereof the Said Henry Fisher Negro and the Said John Lewis have hereunto in the presence of each other Set their hands and Seals the day and year herein before first written.
