Mary Wilds Manumission to Negro Timothy Cullen 1833

To all whom it may concern be it known that I Mary Wilds of Kent County in the State of Delaware for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Timothy Cullen being of the age of thirty years and able to work and gain a Sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the Said negro man named Timothy Cullen I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my executors or administrators forever, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 2d day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty three 1833. Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of James D Wilds Nathaniel Denny Wilds

Kent County Ss on this Second day of February personlly  appears Mary Wilds party to the within instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the State of Delaware for said County and acknowledge the Same to be her act and Deed for the purpose within mentioned and the negro man within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharge from all Services to him or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in Such case made and provided. Acknowledged before James D Wilds
