Ann Baynard Manumission to Negro Milisa 1830

To all it may concern be it known that I Ann Baynard of Kent County in the State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moveing as also in further Consideration of six cents current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and Set free and By these presence do hereby release from Slavery manumitt and set free my negro Girl named Milisa when she shall arrive to the age of twenty six years she being now ten year and five Months old. I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my executors or administrators forever after expiration of the term afforesaid In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty. Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Ferdinand Baynard

Kent County Ss The State of Delaware on the fifth day of February 1830 personally appeared Ann Baynard party to the above Instrument of writing before me the subscriber one of our Justices of the peace in and for kent County and acknowledged the Same to be her act and Deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro within named to be manumitted and Discharged from all Services to me or to any claiming under me after the term of Servitude above mentioned and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided acknowledged before.
