Manumission Clement Morris to Negro Azael Johnson 1829

To all to whom it may concern be it known that I Clement Morris of Kent County in the State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moveing have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free my Negro man named Azael Johnson being of the age of twenty years ten months and four days or thereabouts and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and Maintainance; and him the said negro man named Azalea I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my executors or Administrators forever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine. 1829. Clement Morris seal}
