Know all men by these presents that I John Covington of Kent County in the State of Delaware for divers good causes me thereunto Moving do by these presents Manumit infranchise and set free the following female slaves to wit Harriott Covington aged about twenty years to be in nine years from the first day of January 1829 and Mariah Covington aged about nineteen years to be free in Nine years from the first day of January 1829 which term will expire on the first day of January in the year one thousand eight hundred thirty eight and nine.
