Hezekiah Vickery Manumission to Negro Nathan 1828

State of Delaware to wit. to all persons to whome these presents may come Know ye that I Hezekiah Vickery of Kent County and State aforesaid divers good causes & considerations me thereunto moving have Emancipated and Set free and by these presents do Emancipate infranchise and Set free the following Negro boy to wit Negro Nathan aged five years the ninth day of February 1828 and transferred to Noah Seward of the State and County aforesaid for a term of  years to be free and at his Liberty from and after the ninth day of February Eighteen hundred and fifty three 1853 And I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators and every of them the fredom of the aforesaid boy to warrent and defend from me and my heirs executors and administrators and every of them and from all and every other person whatsoever in testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this the 12 day of December one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Eight. State of Delaware to wit, Be it remembered that on the 12 day of December one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Eight the above named Hezekiah Vickery came before me the Subscriber and acknowledged the above deed of Emancipation to be his act and Deed and the negro boy named Nathan mentioned to be free according to the true intent and meaning of the same acknowledge before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County of Kent and State aforesaid on the day and date above written. A true copy recorded and compared with the original this 16th day of January A.D. 1829. Attest John W. Many Recdr.
