Know all men by these presents that I Richard Harris of Mispillion hundred Kent County in the State of Delaware do by these presents Manimate and set free a certain Negro boy by the name of William aged Eight years old in May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Six. Said boy is now in the possession or service of William Harris and is to serve the said Harris untill he shall arive at the age of twenty one years old and to go free and injoy all the privileges that belongs to other free men of this State and I the Said Richard Harris hereby release the Said William Negro from me or any of my heirs Executors or administrators or any other person claiming or hereafter to claim by from or under me or any of mine after he shall arive to the age of Twenty one years old as aforesaid. Kent County Sst State of Delaware Be it remembered that on this 21 April 1826 personally appeared before me Thomas Dehorty one of the Justices of the peace for said County Richard Harris the grantor named in the above manumission and Severally acknowledged the Same to be his act and Deed and desired the Same to be Recorded as such; Given under my hand the day and date above written.
