Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Wainwright of the Village of Camden in Kent County and State of Delaware have and by these presents doth Manumit and Set Free my negro Boy William Lockerman from and after the Seventh day of the Six month one thousand eight hundred and thirty 1830. He being at that time Twenty one years of age. I do hereby warrant and forever defend by these presents from all and every Person claiming by through or under me my heirs executors and administrators or any of them as witness my hand and seal this Eighth day of the third month Eighteen hundred and twenty six. 1826. I Benj Brady one of the Justices of the Peace in and for Said County do hereby certify that on the 8th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight and twenty Six Personally came Thomas Wainwright Party to the above manumission before me the Said Justice and did acknowledge the Same to be his act and Deed and and delivered it for the use and Purposes therein mentioned Given under my hand and Seal at Camden the day and Year above written.
