To all to whom these presents shall come Know Ye that We John Dashiell and Abigail Bell of Sussex County and the State of Delaware from and after the Expiration of the fifteenth day of October Eighteen hundred and Eleven do Manumit and enfranchise and set free Our Negro Man called Samuel Which we bought of John Huffington after the end of which time We the said John Dashiell and Abigail Bell do hereby release for Ourselves Our heirs Executors or Administrators the said Samuel from all Control or Service and by these presents do Give and Grant unto him the said Samuel all the rights and Privileges that a free Negro hath or can or May enjoy from the expiration of the time aforesaid as Witness Our hands and Seals this fourteenth day of April Eighteen hundred and four John Dashiell {seal} Abigail Bell {seal}
