Know all men by these presents that I Ann T. Greer of the town of Milford county of Kent & State of Delaware for divers good causes & Considerations me hereunto moving do hereby manumit enfranchise & absolutely set free my negro man Samuel to be free & at his perfect liberty on the first day of January eighteen hundred & Twenty three at which time he will be about Twenty five years old and I do hereby warrant and defend the liberty & Freedom of the Said negro man Samuel from myself my heirs executors or administrators & from or under me In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my Seal this first day of January eighteen hundred & twenty two.
