To all whom it may concern be it known that I Eben Burrows of Q A County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and Set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Thomas Stevens being of the age of thirty three years and able to work and gain a Sufficient livelehood and mantainance and him the Said negro man named Thomas I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of Servitude or Service to me my executors or Administrators forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 23d. Day of Sept. Eighteen hundred and twenty four. Eben Burrows his mark

State of Delaware sst. Be it remembered that on this 25th day of September one thousand eight hundred and twenty four personally appeared Eben Burrows before me Jacob Furze one of the Justice of the peace in and for the county of Kent and State of Delaware and acknowledged the within manumission to be his act and Deed and desired it might be recorded as Such Given under my hand the day and year aforesaid.
