Know all men by these presents that we William A Budd & Mary L Budd wife of said William A Budd of the City of Phila and State of Pennsylvania for divers good Cause us thereunto moveing do Manumate Ebenezer Harris Negro (late the Property of Robert Wilson Decd. Of Kent County and State of Delaware and devised By his last Will and Testament to his widow Mary L. Wilson now Budd and party hereto to Serve untill he arrived to the age of Thirty years) to be free on the first day of March one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty four A.D. 1834 against us our heirs & assigns at which time he will be Twenty eight years of age he now being Eighteen years old on the Condition that he the aforesaid Ebenezer Harris does well and faithfully Serve the aforesaid Mary L Budd and heirs Either in the State of Delaware or in the State of Pennsylvania as may be directed or Required In Conformity to an Indenture entered into his day by the aforesaid Ebenezer Harris to Said Mary L. Budd & heirs taken by & acknowledged before Alexr McClyment Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace in & for Kent County & State of Delaware or else the above Manumition to be null & void As Witness our hands and Seals this First day of March In the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Twenty Four A.D. 1824.
