Negro Unity Craig & Children Manumission from Isaac Lowber 1822

Be it Remembered by all whom it may concern. That I Isaac Lowber yeoman of Mispillion hundred in the county of Kent and State of Delaware do and by these presents have hereby Manumated and Sett free & at their liberty The following negro slaves (viz) Unity Craig now the wife of Michael Johnson (negro) aged about thirty years Reuben and Robert John children of the aforesaid unity and Michel the former aged about three years & the later aged about five months All of which I Sett at their liberty this day also Charles aged about Seven years and Elijah aged about five years, Children of the aforesaid unity & Michel which Children are now in my possession and I hereby Manumate the Said Charles and Elijah to be  free at the age of Twenty one years. This Instrument is therefore intended to bind myself my heirs Exers and administrators to Sett the aforesaid Charles and Elijah free ^and at their full Liberty at the age of Twenty one years and to furnish them with a certificate of their freedom the three first mentioned Slaves unity Reuben & Robert John which I this day sett at their liberty is Considered by my free and all persons are requested to let them pass and repass as Such. In Testimony where of I have hereunto sett my hand & Seal this Seventh day of August in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Twenty Two. Isaac Lowber {seal}

Kent County State of Delaware I do hereby Certify that Isaac Lowber personally appeared before me Jacob Boone one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County and did acknowledged the above Manumission to be his free act and Deed and Signed the Same in the Presents of the witnesses thereunto assigned Given under my hand and Seal the 21 day of December in the year of our Lord 1822.
