Sundry Negroes Manumission from Nehemiah Clark 1821

Know all men by these presents that I Nehemiah Clarke of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have manumitted enfranchised set Free and do by these presents manumit Enfranchise and set free the following Slaves that is to Say a negro woman Called Harriot twenty years of age or there about to Serve from this date the term of Six years fully to be completed and ended also one other negro woman called Diner twenty years of age from the best information to Serve from this date the term of three years fully to be completed and ended and her two children was follows Charles now three years of age to Serve from this date the term of Twenty four years and Hester Commonly Called Het to Serve from this date the term of twenty four years fully to be completed and ended Reserving to myself my heirs Executors administrators and assigns the Service of the Said negroes respectively untill they Serve the term of years heretofore Specified and when and as Soon as they Shall Severally Serve the term of years Specified they are hereby declaimed to be free exonerated and forever discharged from the Services of myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal in the presence of two credable witnesses this Sixth day December in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and twenty one 1821 Nehemiah Clarke {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County Sst on the Sixth day of December one thousand eight hundred and twenty one came Nehemiah Clarke before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and Said County of Kent and acknowledged the above Instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the negro Slaves therein mentioned to be free from him and every person or persons whatsoever claiming under him after the expiration of the terms therein specified.
