Manumission Benjamin Seal from Ann Casey 1819

Know all Men by these presents that I Ann Casey of Duck Creek Hundred in the County Kent and State of Delaware for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have and by these presents do hereby Manumit and Set free my negro Man Slave named Benjamin Seal aged about twenty eight from the date hereof wishing him to enjoy all the privileges that any free negro or free Mulatto can or may do agreeable to the laws of the State of Delaware In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & nineteen 1819. Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of Ebenr. Blackiston John Lowber

State of Delaware New Castle County Personally appeared Ann Cacy the grantor in the above manumission before me one of the Justices of the above county and acknowledged the same to be her hand & seal and desired it might be recorded as such, Witness my hand this first day of January eightteen hundred and twenty. State of Delaware Kent County Sst.  Personally Ann Casy the Granto of the within Manumission appeared before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for Said county and acknowledged the Same to be her hand and Seal and desired it might be recorded as Such, witness my hand this Sixth day of January eighteen hundred and twenty 1820.
