Negro Letitia Crage Manumission from William Allaband 1818

Know all men by these presents that I William Allaband of Murdertherkill hundred Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good Causes and Considerations do by these presents manumit liberated and set free a certain Negro named Letitia Crage aged twenty seven years and upwards and I do here by further agree that She the Said Letitia Shall from the date of these presents be entitled to and enjoy all the rights priveleges and immunities which a free negro or free mulatto may or can have or enjoy by the laws of this State. In Testimony whereof I have hereto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen 1818. William Allaband {seal}

Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of David Clayton John Lowber

State of Delaware Kent County Sst  Be it remembered that the above named William Allaband Came before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for Said County and Acknowledged the above Manumission to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein Mentioned. In witness where of I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal at Dover the 12th day of October A.D. 1818. John Lowber
