Know all men by these presents that I Margaret Baynard one of the administrators of the goods & chattles rights and credits of John Baynard late of Kent County State of Delaware and who died intestate do hereby liberate enfranchise manumit & set free from Slavery Abraham (a negro belonging to the estate of the said John Baynard deceased and who as it appears from a certificate of the Said John Baynard dated 30th Dec. 1804 now in my possession was intended to be set free by him) the said Abraham to be free from slavery (and not liable to be claimed by me or by any of the heirs of the Said John Baynard deceased) from the date of these presents In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this Sixth day of April Anno Domini one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen. State of Delaware Kent County I do Certify that on the Sixth day of April 1819 personally appeared Margaret Baynard before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for Said County and acknowledged the within manumation or instrument of writing to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the same In Testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year aforesaid.
