Know all men by these presents that I James Kerbin of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes have and by these presents do manumate and set freemy negro man named Anthony Miller, reserving to myself my heirs and assigns the benefit of his service for the term of fourteen years from the day of the date of the presents, and thereafter I do hereby discharge and entirely set free the said negro Anthony Miller from me my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixth day of February in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Sixteen. Be it remembered that on this sixth day of February in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Sixteen the above named James Kirbin appeared before me James Schee one of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Delaware for Kent County and did acknowledge the above manumission as his act and deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned, In Testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand the day and year above written.
