Know all men by these presents that I George Manlove the Elder of Kent County in the State of Delaware do manumit Emancipate liberate and Set free certain Negros Viz. Hester White, Jacob, William, Jack, Robert and Solomon the slaves of me the said George Manlove at the age of twenty five years, And I hereby declare the Said Negros to be free to all intents and Purposes from and after the age of twenty five years, And that they shall be capable of enjoying all the rights and priviledges that free Negros or Mulattos can or may enjoy by the Laws of the said State of Delaware, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 23d day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Fifteen. Kent County Sst. Be it remembered on the twenty eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifteen the above named George Manlove the Elder appeared before me James Schee one of the Justice of the peace of the State of Delaware for Kent County, and did acknowledg the above Manumission as his act and Deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year above Written.
