To all whome it may or Shall concern; Know ye that whereas I the undersigned Charles Numbers of Kent County in the State of Delaware did on the twentyeth day of January one thousand Eight Hundred and ten, sell and Dispose of a certain negro man named Aaron to a certain Thomas Rothwell of the county aforesaid  for the term of one year and Eight months as by a certain wrighting called a bill of sale dated on the aforesaid twentyeth day of January and Executed by me will more fully and at large appear which said term of one year and Eight months was the Remainder and all the the time which I did Intend that the said Aron should serve after the said sale but fully intended that he should be free and at full Liberty at the  expiration of said term and whereas the said term for which he was sold is now fully Ended and the said Aron has eversince the Expiration thereof been free and at full Liberty and has been Considered by me and others to be a free man but I have heretofore Neglected to give him a written manumation Now Know ye that I the Said Charles Numbers agreeable to my former Intendtion do hereby Manumit and set free the aforesaid negro man named Aaron and declare him to be a free man and intitled to all the previledges and advantages of a free man In witness of which I have hereunto set my hand the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifteen.
