Negros Jacob & others Manumission from Sarah Hoffecker 1816

Know all men by these presents That I Sarah Hoffecier of Kent County and State of Delaware for and in consideration of the gratitude and good will I have to my three Negroe boys Jacob Lebo John Crosby and Thomas Crosby have given and granted and do by these presents give and grant to my said Negroe boys their perfect liberty and freedom to all intents and purposes whatsoever. The said liberty freedom and Manumition of Jacob Lebo to to be place and effect on the first day of March eighteen hundred and eighteen The said liberty freedom and Manumition of John Crosby the fourth day of April eighteen hundred and twenty four and the said liberty freedom and Manumition of Thomas Crosby on the Seventh day of February eighteen hundred and twenty seven and not before In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Nineteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and Sxiteen. State of Delaware Kent County Sst } I the undersigned one of the Justices of the peace in and for Kent County, hereby certify that Sarah Hoffecker appeared before me and acknowledged the above manumission to be her act and Deed for the use & purpose therein Mentioned and requested it might be Recorded as Such given under my hand & seal the twentieth day of July A.D. 1816.
