Manumission Negro Daniel From Hillery Couderight 1813

Know all men by these presents that I Hilry Coudwright of Little Creek Hundred Kent County and State of Delaware do hereby manumate and set free my negro boy called Daniel a slave which I purchased of McKimmey Smack to be free at the full end and term of twelve years from the date hereof, and at the end and term of twelve years I do hereby declare him the said Daniel to be free and entitled to enjoy all the rights and priviledges of a free negrow or mulatto and entitled too in this State and I do hereby declare him the said Daniel at the end of the said twelve years to be free from my self my heirs executors and administrators and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or toe claime from by or under me or them, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen 1813. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of James Kimmey Richard Harrington

Went County SS State of Delaware Personally appeared Hilery Coudright and acknowledged the above manumition to be his act and deed and the aforesaid Negro Daniel to be free and at his liberty at the expiration of the aforesaid term as witness my hand and seal this 26th day of February 1813.
