Orphans Court Feby. Term 1851 Petition of Daniel B. Anderson Admr of Wm. Anderson decd for order of sale of Estate to pay debts.
To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of the State of Delaware now sitting at NewCastle in and for NewCastle County:
The Petition of Daniel B Anderson Administrator of all and Singular the goods and Chattels rights and credits which were of William Anderson deceased late of the City of Wilmington in NewCastle County and State of Delaware respectfully represents: That the Said William Anderson was in his lifetime and at the time of his death seized in his demesne as of fee of and in Certain House and Lot of land situate on the Southerly side of Sixth Street in the City of Wilmington aforesaid Adjoining lands of the Heirs of James Bison? And others That the said William Anderson left to survive him a a widow Rachel Anderson and Six children, to wit 1st Rachel intermarried with Samuel Holland, who together with her said husband has since died leaving to Survive her three children, to wit, William Holland, Thomas Holland and Ann Holland; 2nd Rebeca intermarried with Charles Brown who is since deceased; 3d Daniel B Anderson; 4th Robert H Anderson; 5th Edmund H Anderson; 6th Perry Anderson, who has since died leaving to survive him a widow Rachel Anderson and Six children to wit, Susan intermarried with William Ackov, Samuel Anderson, Sarah Ellen intermarried with Joseph Davis, Raymand Anderson, Emory Anderson and Eliza Jane Anderson; That the said William Anderson also left to survive him the issue of a daughter Ann intermarried with Isaac Simmons who together with her said husband died before the said William Anderson leaving to survive them one daughter, to wit Deborah intermarried with Isaac Parker; That the said William Anderson also left to survive him the issue of another daughter Mary intermarried with Jonas Richardson who died before the said William Anderson leaving to survive her her husband the said Jonas Richardson and seven children to wit, William Richardson, Jacob M Richardson, Mary Jane intermarried with Jacob Branton, Deborah intermarried with John Manlove Sarah Elizabeth, Wilhelmina and Rebecca Richardson: That the parties now entitled to the said Real Estate are William Holland, Ann Holland, Thomas Holland Rebecca Brown, Susan Ackov, William Ackov, Raymond Anderson, William Richardson, Jacob M Richardson, Sarah Elizabeth Richardson and Wilhelmina Richardson all residing out of the State of Delaware, and Daniel B Anderson, Robert H Anderson, Edmund H Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Samuel Anderson, Sarah Ellen Davis, Joseph Davis, Emory Anderson Eliza Jane Anderson Deborah Parker, Isaac Parker, Jonas Richardson, Mary Jane Branton, Jacob Branton, Deborah Manlove, John Manlove, Rebecca Richardson and Rachel Anderson all of whom reside within the said State: That the personal property of the said William Anderson is insufficient for the payment of his debts as will appear by the account made and exhibited by Your Petitioner to the Honorable Court of all the personal property of the said William Anderson of every kind nature and description, and of the debts outstanding against the said intestate, which have come to the knowledge of Your Petitioner That Your Petitioner gave due notice according to law to the parties entitled and to the tenant in possession of his intention to prefer this his petition to this Honorable Court and of the day and place of preferring the same: Your Petitioner therefore prays Your Honors that an order may be made by this Honorable Court for the sale of the said House and Lot of land of the said William Anderson deceased for the payment of his debts.
