Manumission Negro Henry from Andrew McCray 1822

Know all men by these presents that I Andrew McCreigh of dagsborough hundred in the County of Sussex in the State of Delaware being now the sole owner and having the entire and exclusive right and property of a negro man named Henry aged thirty two years or thereabouts do for certain good reasons me thereunto moving after the date hereof manumit, liberate and fully set free the said negro man to be hereafter known by the name of Henry Tingle, and I do hereby declare that from and after the date of this Instrument of manumission he shall be fully discharged from all and every claim or claims of future service by or from me or my heirs Executors, Administrators or assigns, And also I do declare him to be then at full liberty to act and do for himself without being molested or hindered by me or my heirs Executors Administrators or assigns or any other person or persons claiming under me or them or by any other person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two 1822. Andrew McCray {seal}

Signed and Sealed in the Presence of Wm S. Hall Thos Robinson. Sussex County, I the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Sussex, do hereby Certify that the above and foregoing Instrument of manumission of negro Henry was duly executed and delivered in my presence agreeable to law by the said Andrew M Creigh as and for his free voluntary act and deed the day and year above mentioned, as witness my hand and seal Stephen Hill J.P. {seal}
