To all whom it may concern be it known that I James Miller of Sussex County and State of Delaware for divers good reasons and considerations, me thereunto moving, and also in further consideration of two hundred dollars to me in hand paid, have unbound from slavery, liberated manumated and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumate and set free my negro man named Mincey being of the age of thirty four years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said negro man named Mincey I do declare to be hereto forth free manumited and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors and Administrators for ever. In Testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this tenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four. James Miller {seal}

State of Delaware SS Be it remembered that on this tenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County of Sussex James Miller Esquire the sinor in the within and foregoing instrument of writing and he the said James Miller Esq. acknowledged the said to be his act and wishes the same to be respected as above.
