Sussex County State of Delaware To all to whom it may or doth concern Know ye that I Thomas Laws of the County and State afsd. for divers good causes and Considerations me hereunto moving have liberated, manumitted, and set free my Negro man John (Commonly called Jack) to be free from the day of the date of these presents, to have and enjoy all the Privileges that free Negroes and Mulattoes are enitled to in this State; In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this twelfth day of February Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and Eleven.
