Know all men by these presents That I Margaret Baynard of Kent county State of Delaware do hereby liberate Manumit enfranchise and set free from Slavery my negro Slave Jacob and do hereby renounce all right of power in law for me my heirs executors or administrators to reclaim the Said Jacob from the date of these presents, Given under my hand and Seal this first day of April one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. State of Delaware Kent County Ss on the first day of April one thousand eight hundred and nineteen personally appeared Margaret Baynard before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for Said County and acknowledged the within manumission or Instrument of writing to be her voluntary act and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the Same. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Seal the day and year aforesaid. William Saulsbury
