Last Will and Testament of Sallie Blackston 1889

I, Sallie Blackston, wife of Charles Blackston, formerly (Sallie America) of Kent County and State of Delaware being of Sound and disposing mind, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament

Item 1 – I will and devise all the interest in the real estate left me by the last Will and testament of Moses America, deceased, or the proceeds arising from the sale thereof, unto my two children William Blackston and Charles  Edward Blackston, their heirs and assigns Forever in equal proportions. In witness whereof I Sally Blackston, the testatrix, have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fifth day of June A.D. 1889. Sally Blackson {seal}

Signed, Sealed, published, pronounced and declared by Sallie Blackston, the testatrix, as and for her last Will and testament, in the presence of us, who in her presence, at her request and in the presence of Each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. State of Delaware, Kent County, ss.

Helen A Greenage One of the Witnesses to the within and foregoing instrument of writing, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Sallie Blackiston deceased, late of East Dover Hundred, comes before James L Heverin, Register for the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration, &c., for Kent County in the State of Delaware, and on solemn oath says that she saw the said Testatrix sign and seal the said Instrument and heard her publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for her last Will and Testament; that at the time of her so doing and saying she was of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, and upwards of twenty-one years of age; that she the said Helen A Greenage subscribed the same as a Witness at the instance and in the presence of the Testatrix and in the presence of Martha A Rich the other subscribing witness who subscribed the same in the presence of the Testatrix and this deponent. Sworn and subscribed this 26 day of August A.D. 1889 before J.L. Heverin Register
