This Indenture Made the Twenty Third day of December in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and Eighty four. Between James Y Stewart and Annie W Stewart his Wife of the Town of Dover Kent County and State of Delaware of the one Part and Moses America of the Same town County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth: That the said James Y Stewart and Annie W Stewart his wife, for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and Seventy five Dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said Moses America before the Sealing and delivery of their presents, the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have, and each of them Hath, granted, bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Do and each of them Doth grant bargain, and Sell alien enfeoff, release convey and confirm unto the said Moses America his Heirs and Assigns. All that Piece Parcel or lot of Ground Situated near the town of Dover Kent County and State of Delaware Marked in a Plot of land Made by Thomas Slaughter and called Acoretia It being No 16, upon Said Plot having A front in Slaughter Street of fifty feet, running Back a distance of One hundred and fifty feet to lot No 1 said Plot is Recorded in the Recorders office at Dover in Record Book G Page 336. the lot being now Conveyed in A Portion of the Intestate lands of Daniel C. Hoffecker Deceased and sold by and order of the orphans Court in the Sixth day of July AD 1880. And Purchased by James Y Stewart at Said Sale. And All and Singular the buildings, improvements fixtures Ways, Works, Waters, Water_ courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances to the Said Lot, Piece or Parcel of Ground belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issues and profits thereof: And all the estate, right, title interest property claim, demand and possibility of them the said James Y Stewart and Annie W. Stewart his Wife and each of them at law or in equity of to, in or, out of the Same and every part and parcel thereof To Have And To Hold the land and premises hereby bargained and sold or intended to be with the appurtenances unto the said Moses America his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Moses America his Heirs and Assigns forever: In Witness Whereof The Said James Y Stewart and Annie W Stewart his wife have hereunto respectively set their hands and seals the day and year first herein written. State of Delaware County SS Be it Remembered That in this Twenty third day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty four. Personally came before me John Brown a Notary Public for the State of Delaware James Y Stewart and Annie W Stewart his wife parties to this Indenture Known to me Personally to be Such and Severally acknowledged this Indenture to be their Act and Deed respectively and that the said Annie W Stewart being at the same time privately examined by me apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the said Indenture Willingly Without Compulsion or threats, or fear of her husbands displeasure: Given under my hand and Seal of office, the day and year aforesaid.
