To All people to Whom these presents may Coe I Robert Henry of Murtherkill hundred in Kent County on Delaware Inkeeper do send Greeting Know ye that I the said Robert Henry for and in Consideration of the just and full sum of Sixty pounds Current lawful money of the Government of the Counties of New Castle Kent and Sussex on Delaware to me in hand paid by Caesar Rodney Esquire of the same place the Receipt whereof I do hereby Acknowledge and myself therewith fully satisfied Contented and paid have granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents I the said Robert Henry Do Grant Bargain and sell unto the said Caesar Rodney one Negro woman Called Joice and her Child Called Margret now in Possession of the said Caesar Rodney Together with all their Cloath unto them in any wise Appertaining and Belonging To have and To hold unto the said Negro woman and her Child and all other the premises hereby Granted unto the said Caesar Rodney his heirs Executors administrators and assigns as his or their own proper Goods and to his and their own proper use and uses forever and I the said Robert Henry do for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and Grant to and with the said Caesar Rodney his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns by these presents that I the said Robert Henry at the time of Sealing and Delivery of these presents am the True and lawful owner and proprietor of the said negro woman and Child and Cloaths hereby Granted with the appurtenances and that I have full power and Lawfull Authority to Grant bargain and sell the said negro woman and her Child with the premises hereby mentioned to be Granted with the appurtenances unto the said Caesar Rodney his heirs Executors administrators and Assigns in manner aforesaid and also that it Shall and may be lawful to and for the said Caesar Rodney his heirs and assigns from time to time and at all times hereafter Quietly and Peacably to have hold Occupy Possess and Enjoy the said negro woman and her Child and all other the premises hereby Granted mentioned or Intended to be Granted with the appurtenances without the Lett Trouble Daniel Mollestation hindrance or Disturbance Whatsoever of me the said Robert Henry my heirs Exe..rs or Admi..rs or any other person or persons Whatsoever Claiming or to Claim and that freed and Discharged of and from all manner of former and other Bargain Sales and Incumbrances whatsoever made Done or Committed by me the said Robert Henry In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and affixed my Seal this Twenty Eighth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Twenty two 1772.
