To all to whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I Daniel Short of Ins. in the County of Sussex in the State of Delaware Yeoman for Divers Good Causes me there unto Moveing have Released Acquited Exonerated and Discharged and By these presents do Release Acquit Exonerate and discharge my Negroes named Peter & Jacob at the age of thirty years old and my negro Girl named Sary at the age of Twenty five years oald of and from all manner of service due me my hears Executors or Administrators from the said Peter Jacob & Sary or which I the said Daniel Short my hears Executors or Administrators might or Cold of Right Exact from them the said Peter Jacob & Sally and I do hereby Declare the said Peter Jacob & Sary to be free when they to the afsd Limited Terms as Witness my hand and Seal this 11th day of March 1815. Sussex County Sst. Be it Remembered that on this 7th day of January 1817 personally came the within named Daniel Short and acknowledged the within and foregoing manumission to be his act and Deed and desired the same might be Recorded as such, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year afsd.
