Sale of Tom by Jonathan Wallace to Daniel Smith 1786

Know all men by these presents that I Jonathan Wallace of Kent County in the State of Dilaway for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Pounds Specy to me in hand paid or all Secured or to be paid by Daniel Smith of the County aforesaid the receit whereof I do herby acknolidg my Self fully Satisfied Contented and paid have bargained sold Set over and delivered by these presents in place and open accordin to the due form of Law in such cases mad and provided do bargain Sell Set over and deliver un the Said Daniel Smith one Negro named Tom about five yers of age to be having and holden of him the said Daniel Smith his Heirs administrators or assigns, and I the Said Jonathan Wallace for my self my Executors Administrators the said Negro Boy named Tom unto the said Daniel Smith Executors Administrators or assigns against my self my self the said Jonathan Wallace and my Executors and Administrators and against all manner of Persons hosoever Shall and will Warrant and defend by these presents witnesseth whereof together with the Delivery of the afs held By bargained and Sold one Neg Boy named Tom The said Jonathan Wallace hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 19 August in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Eighty Six 1786.
